Description

Our organized transport will pick you up at the arranged location. With the voice of our guide in the background the road takes you through the countryside towards an unique jewel in the world, the Plitvice Lakes. The unity and harmony of the 16 lakes has a rare natural and cultural value not only on the local level, but is also recognized by UNESCO as a world natural and cultural heritage. Upon our arrival in Plitvice National Park, your tour starts on foot through the woods with our experienced guide.

The path takes you across Gornja Jezera, and then you continue by boat with the sounds of the waterfalls to Donja jezera. The travertine builds barriers, sills and other forms in karst Rivers and streams. This still ongoing formation process is prominent in the Plitvice Lakes waterfalls, shaping wonderful landscapes while you are enjoying your walk through the park.

Due to this travertine formation numerous magnificent waterfalls are created. Over time, the water changes its course, leaving some barriers dry but depositing new tufa. This phenomenon makes the Plitvice Lakes never look the same but constantly changing from one day to another. You’ll know that you stand in front of the Great falls, 78 meters high, when you hear the roaring thunder of the water hitting the ground. Afterwards the road will take you to the Outlook Cave, which is known from the scene in the Karl May’s movie “Treasure of Silver Lake” about a famous Winnetou. Our journey ends with a panoramic train ride. With the end of the guided sightseeing we go in a retaurant for an optional lunch.

After restaurant we will drive back to Trogir along the highway, still excited and full of lasting impressions—make sure your camera has extra batteries!
